Profit & Loss in Manufacturing

In order for plant managers to be successful they need to actively focus on production and profitability, which is more easily said than done. Productivity is tangible, a plant manager can see what the plant is producing and know if it is up to standards, but profitability can’t be seen in the plant. With this gap it is hard to predict how manufacturing operations affect company profitability without additional assistance.
